What WPLU Board position are you?

How long have you been with the organization?

I joined Worthington Libraries, and the union, in 2024.
 

What brought you to libraries?

I became a librarian after realizing how impactful they've been in my life. I earned my MLIS in 2015 and have worked for both academic and public libraries since then.

Why did you get involved with WPLU?

I was watching the creation of WPLU with eager eyes while working at another library system. They were putting to action the kinds of movements that other library folks were wishing they could do, and it helped to build confidence for others to do exactly that. I knew I wanted to join as soon as I got hired on.
 

What does WPLU mean to you?

Having a voice that cannot be ignored. Library administrations are prone to assuming that the actions they take reflect the desires of both the staff and the communities they serve. It's important that they are told when they are wrong, and that we advocate for ourselves and the public we serve. 
 

What celebrities share your birthday?
Elton John, Aretha Franklin, and Sarah Jessica Parker.
 

What is a "perfect" day for you?
Being at home with my family. And it's Halloween🎃.

What would be your last meal?
Cuban sandwich, a tall paloma and some coconut ice cream. 
 

What's one thing you would want WPLU members to know about you?
I have no middle name 😢. Also, I am allergic to bananas🍌 and cats🐈.
